  1. Waynflete West End 5K and Fun Run- CANCELLED

    May 19, 2018, 8:30 AM - 10:15 AM @ Storer Street and Spring Street

    Both lanes of Spring Street between Thomas Street and Vaughan Street will be closed to traffic from 7:45 AM to 10:15 AM to accommodate both a 5K race and a 1K race. Both races begin and end at Waynflete School.

    May 19, 2018, 9:00 AM @ Payson Park and Back Cove Pathway

    A walk-a-thon fundraising event to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, registration will begin at 9 AM and walkers will be on the path at 10 AM. Parking for this event will be at Payson Park.

    May 19th 2018 is the eighth Kids to Parks Day organized and launched by the National Park Trust and held annually on the third Saturday in May. Kids to Parks Day empowers kids and encourages families to get outdoors and visit America’s parks. This annual event is an effort to encourage new generations to visit our parks and children to lead a more active lifestyle. Another goal of this Day is to broaden children’s appreciation for nature and outdoors.

    On Saturday, May 19, 2018 from 10 am to 12 pm, Samara Ray, our Recreation Naturalist, will lead a family friendly nature scavenger hunt on and around Will’s Playground on the Eastern Promenade. This free event will not only focus on the natural beauty and history of the area, but fun historical facts as well.
